Make your own Wraps

Wraps are a great way to eat a little less bread and they taste great too.

Today we have a quick recipe which will have you making your own wraps in no time at all. You can even eat them straight away.

Make your own Wraps

  • 400g plain flour
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • 175ml boiling water

Method

Mix together the flour, baking powder and salt in large bowl. Rub in butter and then add the water slowly, mixing with your hands to make a soft dough.

Knead a few minutes on floured surface until smooth and elastic, oil a bowl lightly and place dough in the bowl to rest.

Next, divide the mixture into golf ball sized dough balls and flatten out to a thin circular shape using a rolling pin. To cook, get a heavy frying pan and place your wrap into this, dry frying it until the top bubbles slightly. Finally, turn on opposite side for around 1-2 minutes.
