Triple Chocolate Brownies Recipe

We love chocolate and there is nothing in this world that is tastier than this triple chocolate brownie recipe.

It’s easy to make and they are better than any in bakery or restaurant you’ve ever been to, trust us on that one.

To get started pre-heat the oven to 160c and place shelf in the middle of the oven. Line the bottom of a baking tin with greaseproof paper (ours is a rectangular 20cm tin) and grease the sides with some butter.

Triple Chocolate Brownies Recipe

  • 185g quality dark chocolate
  • 185g butter (unsalted)
  • 85g plain flour
  • 40g cocoa powder
  • 50g white chocolate
  • 50g milk chocolate
  • 3 large eggs
  • 275g golden caster sugar

First up melt the dark chocolate and butter together in the microwave for around 30 seconds, before stirring together, making sure the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture combined. Alternatively you can melt both together by placing a pot half filled with simmering water on a medium heat and placing the chocolate and butter together in a glass bowl, on top of the pot. Heat and stir until melted and combined. (It’s much easier and quicker to use the microwave). Once melted leave aside to cool.

Next, combine the 3 large eggs with the sugar, whisking in a food processor until you have a thick, white mixture. This will likely take around 3-5 minutes of constant whisking at full speed. It’s important that you have a thick, airy mixture as the air is important when baking the brownies.

While the eggs and sugar is mixing, you can chop the remaining chocolate into small chunks.

Once you are happy with your mixture, add in the melted butter and chocolate mixture, combining slowly until incorporated and until you have a chocolate coloured mix, although try not to knock the air out of the mixture, instead mixing with a spatula in figure of eight motions. Once combined, sieve in the cocoa powder and flour until combined and finally, the chocolate, although once again, try not to over mix. You need the mixture to retain an airy, thick texture.

Pour the mixture into the lined tin, spreading evenly and gently. Place in the oven for around 25 minutes. Once ready, take the brownie out of the oven and shake gentle, if it still wobbles then place back into the oven for another five minutes. Take out the oven and leave to cool.

Once cooled, tip out of the tin and cut into squares. You can eat cold or warm in the microwave for 20 seconds and enjoy with some ice cream. Either way these are the most delicious brownies around.
