Sometimes you just feel like a chocolate biscuit and that’s ok. The problem is, that biscuit from shops can been full of a massive list of ingredients, so why not make your own using this fantastic chocolate biscuit recipe.
What’s great about this base recipe is that you can add what you like to it, be that chocolate chips, orange rind, peppermint or whatever takes your fancy really.
Chocolate Biscuit RecipeĀ
- 85g soft butter (unsalted)
- 85g granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 110g plain flour
- 25g cocoa powder
Cream the butter and sugar together, then add in the rest of the ingredients. Mix together until a dough forms and then wrap with clingfilm and place in the fridge for 15 mins.
Pre-heat the oven to 170c and line a baking tray with some greaseproof paper.
Next take the dough out of the fridge, divide into 8 equally balls and place on the greaseproof paper. Flatten into a disc shape to resemble the biscuits in the picture above and bake for around 15 mins. Once ready leave to cool then enjoy.
Tip: If you’d like to add other ingredients such as orange, peppermint or chocolate chips then do so after creaming the butter and sugar together.
