Our Most Delicious Deep Pan Recipe Ever | Woodfired Pizza

Our latest pizza is a deep pan and the video includes our delicious recipe, so that you can get started on making your own. This pizza has three types of cheese and is woodfired in our Gozney Dome oven. It is so delicious.

To make this pizza dough use my recipe below:

  • 404g Type 00 Flour
  • 250ml Water
  • 1 Tsp Yeast (Fast acting or Active)
  • 1 Tbs Sugar
  • 1/2 Tbs Salt Mix and leave to rise until doubled in size.

This recipe makes two 330g doughballs. You can make one pizza and freeze the other doughball for another day or make both.

To make the pizza, generously grease the bottom of a 12″ Cast Iron Pan from Ooni (or alternative) and press the dough down evenly across the pan. If it will not stretch straight away just leave it to rest a few minutes each time and it will eventually loosen up enough to over the pan.

You can then add the toppings of your choice and bake at around 350c – 380c for 8 mins with the door closed. Check not and then, and occasionally turn around.

This recipe will also work in a standard oven, although will likely need at least 20-30 minutes to cook at the highest temperature. Y
