I love tiramisu and this is a great chocolate twist on the classic recipe.
For this recipe, I have used my own chocolate sponge, but there would be no harm in using ladyfingers instead.
Here is the recipe for the chocolate sponge in case you want it.
Chocolate Sponge Recipe:
– 150g Self Raising Flour
– 150g Butter
– 50g Cocoa Powder
– 150g Caster Sugar
– Two Eggs
Simply mix the butter and sugar until creamed, add the rest of the ingredients, mix and then put in the oven for 15 mins at 180oC.
For the Chocolate tiramisu you’ll need:
- 500g mascarpone
- 200ml double cream
- 50g coco powder
- 100g white chocolate (grated)
- 100g dark chocolate (grated)
- 1 mug freshly brewed strong coffee
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 120g caster sugar
- 16 sponge fingers (or the chocolate sponge above)
- Cocoa powder for dusting
