Being from Scotland I love potato scones or tattie scones as we know them in the North, however they are hard to get hold of in the south, so I make my own.
Below is the recipe for this delicious breakfast treat.
Potato Scone Recipe
- 450g Floury Potatoes
- 2oz Butter
- 4oz Self Raising Flour
- Salt
Method
This recipe is so simple really. Just make some mashed potato using the potatoes and butter and then leave to cool. Next add the flour and mix until you have a dough. The following step is to divide the mixture into three, roll each into a 1cm thick circle and cut into four triangles. This will give you twelve potato scones.
To cook place into a greased frying pan and fry on each side for around 4 mins or until nice an brown.
