Joe Anderson If you love Oreo and you love cake then you have come to the right place. This cake is oreo through and through, using our base chocolate cake recipe and then packing it to the hilt with all sorts of Oreo flavours.
Once you have made the chocolate cake as per our recipe, half the recipe and make one more, this is because we use a three-tier chocolate cake for this recipe, although if you prefer to stick with two then just continue.
Next, blitz make our vanilla buttercream recipe by mixing:
- 200g of butter
- 400g Icing sugar
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 2 Tbsp Milk
Once this is done, blitz a pack of Oreos into crumbs and add to the buttercream, mixing well.
When the cakes are cool you can then add the Oreo Butter in between each layer and completely cover the cake in the buttercream.
Next to the fun part. Blitz up 3/4 pack of Oreos and spread the crumbs around the top of the cake. Following this, add as many different types of cookie flavours chocolates to the top as you like. We used Hershey’s Cookies and Cream, Dairy Milk Oreo and we also used flavoured Oreos such as Strawberry, Mint, Chocolate and Birthday Cake, snapping a few of each in half and spreading them around the top of the cake.
Pretty simple, but an Oreo lovers dream.
