We love flapjacks and if they are healthy then all the better. This flapjack recipe is easy to make and we’d like to think quite good for you too.
Before getting started preheat the oven to 180c.
Healthy Flapjack Recipe
- 1 1/2 Cup Rolled Oats
- 1/4 Cup Maple Syrup
- 1/4 Cup Whole Earth Peanut Butter
- 1/4 Cup Mixed Seeds
- 1 Tsp Vanilla Extract
As you can see there aren’t too many ingredients and you can even add more if you like, such as some chopped nuts and fruit.
To make the flapjacks, first toast the oats in the oven for around 10-15 minutes. Meanwhile, melt the peanut butter on a low heat, mixing with the maple syrup and vanilla extract.
Take the oats from the oven and mix all the ingredients together. Place in a lined tin and press into a large square flapjack, which when cut will make around 9-12 slices. You can compact by placing a piece of greaseproof paper on top if you like.
Place in the freezer for around 10-15 minutes and then slice, ready to serve. The flapjacks will also keep in the freezer until you are ready to eat them.
