Easy Vanilla Ice Cream

Making Ice Cream is easier than you think and it’s honestly even better than the more expensive brands out there.

Below is our Vanilla Ice Cream Recipe which tastes delicious and is simple to make, especially if you have an ice cream maker or a food processor with an attachment. It’s even egg free.

Here’s what you’ll need.

Easy Vanilla Ice Cream

  • 250Ml Double Cream
  • 250Ml Jersey Cream (If not available substitute with another 250Ml of Double Cream)
  • 1 Vanilla Pod
  • 300Ml Double Cream Milk
  • 150G Caster Sugar

Method

What we do, whether using an ice cream maker or not, is to put all the ingredients together, including the seeds from the vanilla pod and whisky them up using the whisk attachment on a food processor. You can also use an electric hand whisk or a hand whisky. Do this until the mixture thickens and is nice and frothy.

Place in your ice cream maker for wonderful soft ice cream or place in the freezer and enjoy later when it has formed more.

If doing this process by hand, following the steps above and when the mixture is frothy, place in a tub and put in the freezer. After around 30 minutes, take out the ice cream and mix it around, removing any ice crystals. Repeat this step at least three times.

Enjoy your Ice Cream!
